Josefine Karlsson
Josefine Karlsson
has during her doctoral studies researched reading comprehension in elementary school children with interdisciplinary methods. Her theoretical basis is cognitive sciences and she has an interest in gaining a holistic perspective, meaning she studies several factors of the reader, the text, and the task. In the years following her PhD, she has engaged in developing a digital tool for engaging and helping students to read. As such she continues an interdisciplinary work, engaging in special educational research focusing on inclusion, action research, design thinking, and cognitive sciences. Together, these disciplines puts the students in center of attention which creates a multifaceted lens focused on the students situation in the school.
