John Sarivougioukas
Received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University (1984), Ohio, USA, a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering (1994), a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (1998) from Manhattan College, New York City and a Ph.D in Computer Engineering (2016) from the University of Ioannina. Since 1996 is the head of the Management Information Systems (MIS) Department of the general state hospital of the National Healthcare System (NHS) of Greece, the pilot hospital for the introduction of Hospital Information Systems. Appointed in various governmental positions, designed and implemented (2009) the National Healthcare Information Network and the applied version (2012) of the Disease Related Group (DRG) system in the 131 hospitals of the NHS. The research interests are in the area of Hospital Information Systems, Ubiquitous Computing, Primary & Home Healthcare and AI.
