Joana Lencart

Dr. Joanna Lencart is a researcher at the Transdisciplinary Research Center for Culture, Space and Memory (CITCEM) and Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. Dr. Joana Lencart is a researcher at CITCEM and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto. She specializes in medieval and early modern history, with a focus on the Order of Christ and archival memory. She leads a project on the written memory in Portuguese archives and has published extensively on military orders and custodial history. She is also active in several international academic associations.
