Jianmei Xu
Jianmei Xu
is a professor of education at the School of Education, Hangzhou Normal. She is currently serving as the Associate Dean of the School of Education, responsible for undergraduate education and teaching affairs. After obtaining her Ph.D. in History of Education from East China Normal University in 2004, she has been engaged in teacher education at two Normal Universities. Her research interests are teacher education, professional learning community and SoTL. She has published more than 30 articles, two books, several book chapters as well as international conference presentations on the above mentioned area. She has led two projects funded by the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Research Fund, and her research paper titled "The Decline and Return of Grand Educational Theories" received the second prize in the provincial-level Humanities and Social Sciences Research Achievements Awards.
