Jacqueline Artieda-Subía
Jacqueline Artieda-Subía
is a sociologist with a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies, specializing in Latin American Literature, from the Simón Bolívar Andean University. She also holds a diploma in Social Research Methodologies from the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). She is currently pursuing an advanced diploma in Media Education and Political Communication from CLACSO. She has been teaching at the Central University of Ecuador for the past nine years, offering courses such as Public Opinion, Communication Ethics and World History. Her main areas of research focus on the theories, methodologies, and epistemologies of communication, as well as social movements, the state, and power from a Marxist perspective. Her most recent publication appears in the book
, in which she presents research on indigenous, popular, and class-based television in Ecuador.
