Iye Ogbe
Iye Ogbe
is a mother and an emerging scholar from Nigeria, West Africa. As a Ph.D. candidate in International Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University, her research focuses on the gendered experiences of First-generation Black African immigrants and their sense of inclusion and belonging in new communities where they are often the minority. With a background as a United Nations Graduate Research Fellow, Iye led webinars on topics such as education and gender issues in conflict resolution, giving her a deeper understanding of how global power structures influence local immigrant experiences. She is dedicated to interdisciplinary scholarship that promotes understanding and support for marginalized communities.
