Dr.
Ismail Suardi Wekke
earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Arabic Language Education from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He currently holds the positions of Visiting Professor at Fatoni University's Faculty of Education in Thailand and Adjunct Professor at an unspecified institution. His extensive academic contributions include supervising numerous theses at both the undergraduate and master's levels, focusing on diverse topics such as critical thinking skills in religious education, the use of movies in English language learning, student anxiety in communication, and leadership in educational settings. He has authored several books on educational methodologies and Muslim minority communities in Indonesia and published extensively in numerous journals, covering areas such as comparative education, educational management, leadership, and socio-political dimensions in Southeast Asia. His research interests frequently intersect with Islamic education, cultural studies, and the experiences of Muslim minorities, particularly in Indonesia and Papua.
