Isidoro Arroyo-Almaraz

Isidoro Arroyo-Almaraz , holds a PhD in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) (1997) and a Master's Degree in Communication Techniques in Social Services from UCM-INMSERSO. He is currently a Full Professor (2005-2025) in the field of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), where he was previously an Associate Professor (2003-2005). Additionally, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid from 1993 to 2003. His academic career includes leadership positions such as Vice Dean of Outreach and International Relations at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at URJC (2014-2018) and Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Public Relations at the same faculty (2009). He has also been a Visiting Professor at Bournemouth University (United Kingdom), Universidad Empresarial Siglo 21 (Córdoba, Argentina), Universidad Austral (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (Argentina). Furthermore, he has collaborated with ITS Sligo (Ireland) and has been a guest researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina). His research activity is extensive, with 55 articles published in scientific journals, 23 contributions to collective works, 22 authored books, and coordination of 2 collective books. He has supervised 10 doctoral theses. Additionally, he is the Director of the High-Performance Research Group SIC (Solidar&dar, Investigaciones en Comunicación) at URJC. His research interests encompass audiovisual communication, advertising, and the impact of digital transformation on media and communication strategies.
