Ibrahim Duyar
Ibrahim Duyar
received his Ph.D. in educational leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served as a school principal, director of schools, university professor, and consultant in local, national, and international organizations. Dr. Duyar is currently a tenured full-research professor at the Center for Excellence in Education, Arkansas State University, USA. Dr. Duyar teaches doctoral-level courses, including advanced leadership theories, leading change and organizational behavior, and educational policy and politics of education. Dr. Duyar’s research focuses on the antecedents, processes, and outcomes of workplace attitudes, behaviors, and performance of the educational workforce, with a special focus on the effects of leadership. His interdisciplinary research connects educational leadership praxis with industrial psychology, psychology, and sociology. He recently added the role of education on environmental sustainability to his research agenda. Dr. Duyar also runs cross-cultural and cross-national research in educational leadership to examine the “etic” and “emic” attributes of educational leadership across different cultures and nations. Dr. Duyar utilizes large-scale panel data sets to quantitatively analyze timely educational constructs. His recent scholarly works have focused on constructs such as cultural intelligence, professional and organizational identity, self-awareness, self-other agreement, multi-source evaluation of leadership performance, creativity and innovation in educational organizations, task and extra-role performance, uncertainty, psychological contract, psychological safety, and organizational support.
