Harshita Haroon
Harshita Aini Haroon
is a Professor of Linguistics at the Faculty of Business and Communication, Universiti Malaysia Perlis. With an illustrious career spanning over two decades in higher education leadership, she currently serves as the Director of the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Malaysia. Since 2002, Harshita has been entrusted with leading various departments in higher education institutions and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, focusing extensively on strategic and quality management. Her primary mission has always been to ensure that universities have clear direction, develop comprehensive strategies for growth, and operate within an ecosystem that prioritizes quality, at the same time, aligned with national higher education agenda. Harshita’s extensive experience in strategic planning, quality management, and leadership in higher education has equipped her with a unique perspective and a profound understanding of the sector’s challenges and opportunities. She is dedicated to fostering environments where academic institutions can thrive and achieve excellence.
