Gopal Upadhyay
is a multi-faceted professional with over 26 years of extensive experience in Teaching, Research and Administration in Top level Institutions as well as University in different regions of India. Served as 15 years in the position of Dean & Director in Engineering & Technology institutes & 8 years as Director General in Engineering, Management, Education & Allied medical Institutions. Currently working as Dean- Academic Affairs of University & Dean- Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Assam down town University (AdtU), Guwahati, Assam (NAAC Accredited University). Plays an active role in the promotion of Technical Education and Produces a vision to provide technically sound campus for excellence in education and research. Authored one book of Solid State, published by Laxmi publication, Ansari road Delhi and published more than 58 research papers & articles in National & International journals & Published 02 Patents & one book chapter by IGI Global Publishers. Serving as an active researcher, have attended more than 64 national & international conferences, FDP’s, webinars, seminars, symposiums & orientation programmes. & Participated in 21 national level quizes. Acted as a session chair and convenor for various National and International Seminars and Conferences. Active in several different committees including serving as Member of Academic council, Member of Board of Studies, Dean Academics, Chairman of University Research committee, Chairman of convocation committee, Chairman Admission committee, Chairman of proctorial board & Chairman Examination committee of Institute & university and has also served as Ph.D. Supervisor, Expert Examiner, internal & external examiner for several universities in India. Serving as Member of Indian Physics Association, BARC Bombay, Member of Indian Physical society Kolkata, Member of International Association Computer Sc. & IT (IACSIT) Singapore, Member of PAS India, Life member of Indian Association of Teachers Educators & Life Member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Skills in handling & commissioning activities involving resource planning, in- process inspection, team building and co-ordination with internal / external departments. Talent for conducting out various audits & inspections to ensure that educational institutes are in compliance with pre-set specifications/criteria to be get NBA & NAAC accreditations, approvals and rankings in today’s competitive era of technical education. Effective communicator & negotiator with strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
