Gonzalo Rodriguez Marin
Gonzalo Rodríguez Marín
is currently Associate Director at the IE Middle East Center for Leadership Development and Innovation, based in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Board Member of the Saudi-Spanish Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance (SCIEF), a joint Research Center between the King Abdulaziz University and IE University. He is also an independent consultant of the Islamic Development Bank. Former Director of the Saudi-Spanish Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance (SCIEF) at IE University. He is also Islamic Finance professor at IE University, specializing in the area of Islamic Fintech. Previously he was a lawyer at Triodos Bank, the leading ethical bank in Europe and legal adviser at Garrigues Abogados (the Iberian peninsula’s leading tax and legal services firm in terms of professional headcount and billing). He received his MAJ (LLM) from IE Business School, a Degree in law from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, an International Executive Program in Islamic Finance at IE University and he also holds studies in political science from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an Islamic studies Course at the Diplomatic School of Spain.
