Gina Luna Bermudo

Gina Luna Bermudo achieved her second master's degree in Education with a major in Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Massachusetts, USA, with a perfect GPA. She earned her first master's degree in Special Education from the University of the Philippines, where she was a consistent University Scholar and graduated with an Academic Excellence Award. She is also a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a double degree in Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science. Gina holds several board certifications in Behavior Analysis from the US Behavior Analysis Certification Body. She is certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a Certified Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA), a Certified International Behavior Analyst (IBA), and a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS). Additionally, she is a US-approved provider of applied behavior analysis coursework and fieldwork and teaches ABA internationally. She is a distinguished member of two prestigious honor societies: Pi Gamma Mu, which focuses on the social sciences, and Phi Kappa Phi, which recognizes academic excellence across all fields of study. Her research paper titled “Attitudes on Assisted Reproductive Techniques of Parents with Teens with Autism” has been recognized for its outstanding research at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. The UP College of Education Alumni Association granted her the 2019 Most Outstanding Alumna Award for her remarkable contributions to Special Education for Community Service. Furthermore, she has been honored with the “Gintong Medalya” award, presented to exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to nation-building and have served their community in an extraordinary capacity. This award acknowledges people who have gone beyond their call of duty and have inspired their fellow citizens. Gina is a composer and producer of the album “Mga Awiting Alay sa Autismo.” This compilation of heartfelt compositions was inspired by her two sons, Niko and Xandi, who are on the autism spectrum. Gina's most cherished role is being a full-time mother to her boys and a devoted wife to her husband, Lito.
