Gina B. Alcoriza
is an Assistant Professor at the Asian Institute of Tourism, University of the Philippines Diliman. A Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) by the American Hotel and Lodging Institute and an Event Management National Certificate III Holder. National Vice President of the Union of the Filipino Tourism Educators (UFTE) and Membership Ambassador of the Philippine Association of Researchers in Tourism and Hospitality (PARTH). Served as Tourism Consultant of some Local Government Units in local tourism planning and development, and a Trainer of Tourist Police in the Bicol Region, Philippines and a Member of the Regional Quality Assurance Team of Commission on Higher Education (RQAT-CHED). International Speaker/Lecturer on Tourism, Hospitality and Business topics and a researcher on areas, community-based tourism, event tourism, sustainable tourism planning and development, ecotourism, culture and heritage tourism. She served as journal peer reviewer, editorial board member, book editor and book chapter author.
