Ganyanhewe Masanga
Ganyanhewe Masanga
holds a PhD in Industrial Management, an MSc in Engineering Production and Management and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. He is a consultant and trainer in Strategic Management and Training and Development. Dr Masanga is a senior lecturer at Chinhoyi University of Technology, Graduate Business School and teaches the following courses: Strategic Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship, Scenario Planning, Modelling and Forecasting, Training and Development. He has a wide experience in management, serving as Managing Director of Zimbabwean companies for 22 years, including 12 years as Group Managing Director for the Zimbabwe Iron and Steel Company(ZISCO). For the 22 years he spent in industry, Dr Masanga held various board level appointments including ZISCO’s subsidiaries in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Mozambique. He has a wide experience of setting up cross-border and joint-venture companies within the SADC region. He made a number of company acquisitions and joint ventures for ZISCO. Dr Masanga supervised the rehabilitation of ZISCO and built its distribution network, from zero in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Zambia. He was instrumental in creating the ZISCO Management Development Centre, where regional steel industry managers from the COMESA region were trained.
