Prashanth G K
, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru-562 157, obtained his B.Sc. degree with 2nd place and his M.Sc. degree with 3rd rank and gold medals from the University of Mysore, Mysuru. He obtained M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry. He has over 18 years of teaching experience. His research interests include the synthesis of nanomaterials, their characterization, and biological applications, crystallography and environmental Chemistry. He has several scientific research publications in various reputed international journals, as well as textbooks, book chapters, and patent publications to his credit.
