Fillippos Vlachos

Filippos Vlachos is a Professor of Educational Neuroscience and Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the Department of Special Education and Dean at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the University of Thessaly, Greece, where he has taught and conducted research since 1997. His research interests concern, the psychobiological and neuropsychological study of learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental disabilities, as well as the relationship between brain laterality and cognitive abilities. He is the author of the book Handedness: Myths and Reality (in Greek), editor of the book Brain, Learning & Special Education (in Greek) and co-editor in three more scientific editions. He has published more than 170 articles in referred national & international journals, book chapters and congress proceedings, with more than 1600 known citations. He is a member of international scientific associations and he is acting as a reviewer for many international journals.
