Fausat Kikelomo Ola-Mudathir
Prof.
Fausat Ola-Mudathir
is a seasoned biochemist with expertise in nutritional biochemistry, phytomedicine, and toxicology. She earned her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, and has held academic positions at Crescent University and Elizade University. Her research explores the health benefits and antioxidant properties of functional foods and herbs, with a special focus on the antidote effects of onion in cyanide toxicity. She has also investigated the toxicity of various plants and drugs, contributing to safer therapeutic applications. Prof. Ola-Mudathir has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, including recent work on Crassocephalum crepidioides and copper-based anti-tuberculous drugs. Her teaching and research continue to shape the fields of biochemical pharmacology and natural product science in Nigeria.
