Ebubechukwu Ezinwa Uba

Ebubechukwu Uba is a current doctoral student at the School of Information Sciences, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. An Information Science Professional with over half a decade of experience, she has lived experiences from Nigeria, Africa in diverse libraries’ administration and management. Her research interest is at the intersection of Science, Technology, and Society (STS) and Community Informatics (CI). Her research has a specific focus on co-design of local content and services for minority communities, particularly to promote education, information literacy, and digital access, focused on building a more accountable and equitable society for active and full participation. She is the founder of Step-Up Academy, an evolving organization with a vision to promote educational and information literacy opportunities globally, for the minority communities.
