Duygu Nazan Gençoğlan
was born in 1990 in Ingolstadt, Germany. She received her bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey in 2013, with her thesis on instrumental amplifier design. In 2014, Dr. Gençoğlan completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Adana University of Science and Technology in Turkey. She holds a master's degree and a doctorate. degrees in 2017 and 2023, respectively, from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Adana Alparslan Türkeş University of Science and Technology. During her studies, she contributed to the industry by presenting at conferences on ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna design. Dr. Gençoğlan's doctoral thesis is dedicated to the design, fabrication and characterization of innovative metamaterials-inspired antenna topologies suitable for 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Her work has produced several prototypes of compact, high-performance antennas and sensors that demonstrate significant size reductions compared to conventional designs. She is the author and co-author of over 15 articles presenting her expertise in UWB antenna design, antenna parameter optimization, machine learning techniques in antenna applications, reconfigurable antennas, and metamaterials-inspired antenna designs for 5G and IoT applications.
