Duygu Aygunes Jafari
Duygu Aygunes-Jafari
is currently affiliated with Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Izmir, Turkey where she works in the fields of cancer and psychiatric genetics, with a focus on molecular biology. Her research centers on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying complex diseases, including breast cancer, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. She has a particular interest in cell death pathways, especially apoptosis, and investigates how these mechanisms intersect with genetic variation and disease progression. Her work integrates experimental molecular biology with computational approaches, including bioinformatic analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, to explore multi-level data and model disease processes.
