Dinesh Nilkant

Dinesh Nilkant Dean and Pro vice chancellor, CMS Business School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Dr. Dinesh Nilkant is a seasoned academic leader with over two and a half decades of experience in commerce and management education. He currently serves as the Dean and Director at CMS Business School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore, where he has played a pivotal role in transforming academic programs, fostering research, and leading strategic initiatives. His academic journey is marked by a Ph.D. focusing on profiling the teenage market in India and understanding their buying behavior, along with various certifications from prestigious institutions like The University of Newcastle, Australia, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Dr. Nilkant has been instrumental in leading key accreditation initiatives, including NAAC, NBA, and ISO certifications, and contributing significantly to NIRF rankings. He has developed innovative pedagogies, including the 21 Steps Entrepreneurship Model and the TAP R model, aligning with NEP objectives. His extensive involvement in national and international collaborations has established joint degree programs and research projects with global institutions, further enhancing the academic and research footprint of CMS Business School. An active researcher, Dr. Nilkant has published numerous research papers in reputed journals and has presented at both national and international conferences. His areas of interest include strategic management, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he has been a member of several academic committees and advisory boards and has edited books on sustainability and finance. Dr. Nilkant’s leadership and contributions have earned him several accolades, including the CSR Eminent Director Award and recognition in the Limca Book of Records for international management events.
