Dimitrios Stamovlasis
Dimitrios Stamovlasis
is an Associate Professor of Research Methodology and Applied Statistics in the Department of Philosophy and Education. His research interests focus on methodological and epistemological issues concerning the theory development in psychology, education, behavioral and life sciences. He has published numerous papers in international journals and chapters in collective volumes, and he is serving as reviewer and member of editorial boards. Specific domains of research are neo-Piagetian theories, creativity, motivation, conceptual change, mental models, children’s mental representations, problem solving and conceptual understanding, group dynamics, computational thinking and robotics Special interest is the application of multivariate statistical modelling, network analysis, complexity theory, catastrophe theory, and nonlinear dynamics to social science research.
