Deogratius Titus Maiga
Deogratius Titus Maiga
is a post-doctoral research fellow at Mintek, working under the Division of Measurement and Control, the Section of Instrumentation, and the subsection of Research and Development. He holds a Ph.D. (Chem) degree from Unisa and an MSc (Chem) degree from the University of Johannesburg. With 16 years of experience in research, mainly in analytical chemistry, water quality, environmental chemistry, nanomaterials, and nanotechnology, he possesses a diverse expertise in various scientific domains. Currently, Dr. Maiga is involved in several R&D projects at Mintek, including the investigation of the robustness of the Cynoprobe Cyanide Analyzer, carbon management (C2 Meter), and the utilization of mixed substrates in the passive treatment of AMD/CMD. Additionally, he is actively engaged in co-supervising and mentoring master’s students, further contributing to the development of young researchers in his field. Dr. Maiga's primary objective is to leverage his skills and experience to enhance research, development, and innovation (RDI) outputs at Mintek, thereby fostering advancements and breakthroughs in relevant scientific areas.
