Deepa Kannur
, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, holds a PhD and Masters degree in Human Development. Her staff research work focusses on quality of life of elderly: An intervention study. She did Post-Doctoral Degree (PDF) on early childhood years from ICSSR fellowship. Her research interests are in growth and development in lifespan, and reproductive health & well-being of adolescent and young women. She has written 6 books, 40 research articles and received 15 awards including young scientist, young women scientist for National and International publications and conferences. Organizing workshop for rural and tribal mothers and expectant mothers on reproductive health, care and management of health during lactation and early stimulation of children. Voluntarily working with Deshpande foundation, Kripa Organization and Ayush Foundation to empower elderly, children and adolescents.
