Debra A. Major
Debra A. Major earned her Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Michigan State University. She is presently eminent professor at Old Dominion University. Her research focuses on career development issues, including barriers faced by women and minorities, developmental relationships at work, and work-family conflict. Her work frequently targets underrepresentation in STEM disciplines. Dr. Major has secured research grants from numerous federal agencies and has received continuous funding for her research from the National Science Foundation for fifteen years. She is fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
