Debasis Sahoo
received his Bachelor’s degree (B. Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration) from the National Council of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, India in 2004. He was hired as a Chef by the Oberoi International Hotels Group in 2004 and later worked with Taj & ITC group of hotels in the Pan Asian restaurants. Subsequently he pursued his ‘Masters & Ph. D’ in Tourism Management and is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Tourism and Travel Management at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala. He writes and presents widely on issues and prospects related to gastronomy tourism, religious gastronomy as well as sustainable issues in the field of tourism environment.
