Cynthia Scarinci

Cynthia Scarinci is an Associate Professor of Accounting for the Lucille and Jay Chazanoff School of Business, College of Staten Island, City University of New York. She has been an accounting professor for more than twenty years, teaching auditing, financial accounting and cost accounting. Cynthia was the 2013 recipient of the Dr. Emanuel Saxe Outstanding CPA in Education Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). She has been an active member of the NYSSCPA for over 20 years and has served in several roles, including Society Vice President of Chapters, member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Education committee, as well as Chapter President. Prior to her academic career, Cynthia was employed in both public and private accounting, specializing in auditing and accounting information systems, including contingency and continuity planning. Cynthia earned her BBA and MBA from Pace University, New York City. Cynthia and her husband are New York residents.
