Christina Smaropoulou

Smaropoulou Christina is a PhD candidate in Educational Psychology at the University of Crete with extensive experience in general and special education. She holds a degree in Primary Education from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and two master’s degrees: one in Digital Technologies in Education and another in Special Education. Her professional background includes roles as a general and special education teacher and an intercultural education instructor. Her research focuses on innovative teaching methods, social and emotional learning, and self-regulated learning, with multiple publications in international conference proceedings and scientific journals. Additionally, she has participated in Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects, integrating technology and inclusive practices into education. She is currently doing her PhD research with a Learning Management System, Journey to the Islands of Social and Emotional Learning, designed to enhance students' SEL competencies. Furthermore, she actively contribute to teacher training and professional development through seminars and workshops, specializing in educational psychology, special education, and digital learning technologies.
