Cecile G. Betit

Cecile G. Betit (Ph.D.) is an Independent Researcher, whose two major studies involve Vermont Towns’ selectboard members and the Carris Companies transition to employee ownership and governance. These studies share a focus on the roots of values and interests in social change. In addition to published articles, she has presented internationally on the Carris transition, is working on a forthcoming volume and was awarded a Louis O. Kelso Fellowship. Dr. Betit holds certifications in Leadership for Change, Appreciative Inquiry, Spiral Dynamics Integral and Strategic Planning. Professionally, she has experience as a faculty member on all levels, and as a high school principal, college administrator, VP for administration for a regional accrediting association and consulting for groups and businesses in organization development. Elected to her town’s selectboard, Dr. Betit has also served on state committees and boards of directors. She lives in central Vermont.
