Carol Johnson
Carol Johnson (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in Music (Online Learning and Educational Technology) at the University of Melbourne in the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Her research focuses on online music pedagogy, teaching and learning online, and the development of teaching capacity for online faculty. Carol mentors online music faculty using research-informed practices and apprenticeship. She has taught music in the online environment since 2004 and was a founding director of The Virtual School of Music. Carol also has an extensive background in online teaching and learning at the K-20 levels. Her diverse background includes teaching in Canada, US, and Latin America in the disciplines of pedagogy, educational technology, music technology and performance, and online music pedagogy.
