Carla Ribeiro
has a PhD in History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, with the thesis Images and representations of Portugal. António Ferro and the development of the nation's identity. Post-doctorate from the same institution, with the work SNI e SEIT (1944-1974): a história de uma instituição do Estado Novo. Researcher at CITCEM, University of Porto. Assistant Professor at the Porto Polytechnic School of Education. Main areas of research: Contemporary cultural history, with a focus on the cultural policies and organisations of authoritarian/totalitarian regimes, Portuguese cinema and tourism under the Estado Novo, Portuguese folklore studies in the 19th and 20th centuries, in connection with questions of national identity.
