Calvin Nobles
Calvin Nobles
is a cybersecurity professional and human factors engineer with more than 25 years of experience spanning military service, industry practice, and higher-education leadership. Dr. Nobles serves as Portfolio Vice President and Dean of the School of Cybersecurity and Information Technology at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), providing strategic and operational leadership for a large, workforce-aligned academic portfolio that advances cybersecurity education, applied partnerships, and innovation at scale. Dr. Nobles previously served as a Department Chair and Associate Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology and completed a full career in the United States Navy before transitioning into roles within the financial services sector. Dr. Nobles is the author of a book focused on the integration of technologically advanced aircraft in general aviation and maintains active national service through advisory and professional bodies, including service on the National Cryptologic Foundation Board and the Cybersecurity Association Inc Board. Dr. Nobles is also a former Cybersecurity Fellow at Harvard University.
