C. Suresh

Dr . Suresh C (Harur, Tamil Nadu, India) is an Associate Professor Aeronautical Engineering at the Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore. With nearly two decades of academic and research experience, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of aerospace education and research in India. He holds a Ph.D. specializing in hail ice impact, projectile impact, underwater explosion, and aircraft structures, with a strong focus on computational and experimental mechanics. His teaching portfolio spans across Aircraft Propulsion, Aircraft Structures, Finite Element Methods, and Emerging Aerospace Technologies, where he emphasizes Outcome-Based Education (OBE), practical learning, and research integration. As the Convenor of GCAAMS2024 (Global Conference on Advances in Aerospace and Materials Science), Dr. Suresh played a key role in fostering collaboration among researchers, industry experts, and academicians. He is a Life Member of the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) and has been actively involved in curriculum development, faculty training, and introducing innovative programs such as Emerging Technology Courses, Ability Enhancement Courses, and Soft Skills Development for Aeronautical Engineers. Dr. Suresh is also driving infrastructure development with initiatives such as the proposal for an Advanced Composite Materials Laboratory, focusing on vacuum infusion, curing, and aerospace applications. His leadership in laboratory design includes the Aircraft Hangar (featuring a Cessna L150 and MIG-21 engine), Aircraft Structures Lab, FEM Lab, and Basic Electrical & Electronics Lab for first-year engineering students. Beyond his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Suresh is deeply committed to student development—ensuring placements, internships, industrial visits, and bridging industry–institute collaboration. His philosophy of teaching blends conceptual clarity, hands-on learning, and critical thinking, preparing students to excel as engineers and innovators. At 39, Dr. Suresh continues to contribute to aerospace engineering education and research with dedication, vision, and passion.
