Bulent Cavas
Prof. Dr.
Bulent Cavas
earned both his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Science Education from the Faculty of Education, Science Teacher Training Program at Dokuz Eylul University in 1998. He later conducted postdoctoral research on career choices in STEM fields at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Türkiye. Prof. Cavas has authored over 150 national and international publications and has written 10 books focusing on science and science education. He serves as a member of the CMAS Science Committee and has previously held the position of President of the International Council of Associations for Science Education (ICASE). His current research interests include Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), Open Schooling, Inquiry-Based Science Education, and the application of Virtual Reality in Science Education. Prof. Cavas is also an external expert and evaluator for European Commission projects in Brussels, Belgium. He served as Head of the Science Education Department from 2020–2022 and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Uşak University.
