Bin Zou

Bin Zou received his PhD in TESOL from the University of Bristol (UK) and MA degree from the University of York (UK). He is senior tutor/associate professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China and currently teaches EAP course to undergraduate students. He has also taught MA TESOL students. He is a fellow of UK Higher Education Academy. His research interests include ELT, EAP, CALL and Corpus. He has given presentations at a number of international conferences including WorldCALL, EUROCALL, IALLT, AILA, IATEFL, BAAL and published papers in international journals such as Computer-Assisted Language Learning, System, International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning, Foreign Language World, Technology Enhanced Foreign Language Education, Chinese Journal of Applied Linguistics and IJCALLT. He has also been involved in reviewing papers for journals of Computer-Assisted Language Learning, Language Learning and Technology, and System. He has written one book and edited several books including Innovation in Language Learning and Teaching: The Case of China (with Hayo Reinders & David Nunan), Corpus Linguistics in Chinese Context (with Michael Hoey & Smith Simon), both published by Palgrave Macmillan, and Computer-Assisted Foreign Language Teaching and Learning: Technological Advances published by IGI Global. He has worked with researchers from Universities of Bristol, Manchester, Southampton and Coventry in several CALL projects.
