Belfin Robinson Vimala

Dr. Belfin Robinson Vimala is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Neurology, University of North Carolina, specializing in fMRI and neuroinformatics. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, she focuses on data science, network science, and graph theory. Her research on Alzheimer's and chronic pain diagnostics, leveraging machine learning and deep learning models, has contributed significantly to biomarker identification with high accuracy. Dr. Vimala has also worked extensively in developing diagnostic models for epilepsy and facial pain using advanced imaging techniques. Her professional journey includes roles as an Assistant Professor at Karunya University, where she developed algorithms for community detection and COVID-19 prediction, widely cited across the globe. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Vimala has industry experience as a software engineer at Wipro Technologies and Robert Bosch.
