Bandana Padhan
Bandana Padhan
is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Adamas University, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Plant Biotechnology, with her research centered on the sustainable utilization of plant bioresources. Her current focus lies in the fields of nutraceuticals, bioactive compounds, and the development of intelligent food packaging films.Dr. Padhan has over four years of research experience, during which she has significantly contributed to plant tissue culture, bio-fertilizer production, and phytoremediation. Her recent work emphasizes the extraction and analysis of bioactive phytochemicals from underutilized plants for use in health-promoting nutraceuticals. Additionally, she explores the use of natural polymers to develop biodegradable, antimicrobial packaging materials, aiming to enhance food safety and reduce plastic waste.She has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Best Biotechnology Student Award and several Best Poster Awards. A committed academic and researcher, Dr. Padhan continues to contribute to the advancement of plant biotechnology through innovative, sustainable solutions and student mentorship.
