Athanasios Alexiou
Athanasios Alexiou
is the Head of Research & Education at Funogen Research Company in Greece, an Adjunct Professor at the University Centre for Research & Development at Chandigarh University in India, and the Department of Science and Engineering at the Novel Global Community Education Foundation in Australia. He is a Fellow at the International Institute of Biomedical Science and is highly ranked in the Computational Biomedicine field. He also focuses on developing novel mathematical models and algorithms in neurodegenerative diseases, prognostic Bayesian tools for Neurodegenerative disorders, and the ethical implications of scientific research. He serves as an Associate Editor in highly reputed journals; he is the author of more than 300 peer-reviewed articles/chapters/books in high-impact publications and 5 filled patents with an H-index of 33 and 5000 citations to his articles. He is the editor of several books in known publishing houses; he has delivered many talks and presentations in international conferences and workshops; he participates in several international funded programs; he serves as a Scientific and Program Committee Member in several conferences and as a Reviewer/Member of the Editorial Board of international journals; he is supervising from diploma to Ph.D. theses and internships' programs; he has over 20 years of mentoring and educational experience. Dr. Alexiou is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science.
