Atanu Roy

Atanu Roy is a marine engineer from Kolkata, India. He completed his Marine Engineering four-year training under the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). Started a sailing career a foreign company, in 2003 and became Chief Engineer in 2011. During his period of sailing, he also started to associate with the maritime shore industry. He worked with Indian Maritime University (IMU) Kolkata campus, MERI as an assistant professor in 2015, and The Neotia University (TNU) in 2016 as a visiting faculty. During this period, he achieved an Extra First-Class Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency level in 2017, which is considered the highest grade of certificate of competency as a marine engineer officer. Becomes a faculty member at Ethiopian Maritime Training Institute (EMTI) in Ethiopia, Africa in 2017. Presently he is working at The Neotia University as an Assistant Professor in the Marine Department. Atanu Roy has a professional affiliation as a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers (FIMarE), India and the Institute of Engineers, India (IEI).
