Arooj Fatima Tul Zahra
Arooj Fatima Tul Zahra
is a dedicated Biotechnology graduate specializing in environmental sciences, particularly in microplastics, DNA Stable Isotope Probing (SIP), and Microbial Plastics Interaction Experiments (mPIEs). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Swinburne University of Technology, Kuching. Arooj has extensive experience as a Research Assistant with the Aquatic and Environmental Sciences AQUES Research Group. She conducted detailed analyses of Maludam River water samples, including measurements of various carbon compounds and greenhouse gases. Her work also involved collecting microplastic samples from Sarawak beaches to study their environmental impact. Her dedication to environmental research is matched by her passion for applying scientific knowledge to real-world challenges.
