Arindam Mitra
, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Rourkela, has been advancing power systems research with a focus on machine learning, system identification, and predictive maintenance since his Ph.D. at IIT Kanpur. His innovative work earned him the Karandikar Best Ph.D. Thesis Award (2024), POSOCO Power System Award (2023), and SIIC Student Innovation Award (2024). With high-impact publications and three patents, he bridges research and practical energy solutions. Dr. Mitra has presented globally at conferences and leads research on applying machine learning to enhance power system reliability and efficiency at NIT Rourkela.
