Arabela Briciu
Arabela Briciu
is Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences and Communication and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Communication, Transilvania University Brasov. Since 2016, she holds a Ph.D. in the research field of Mass Communication Studies, from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication. Her research interests are public and political discourse, social networks, social media studies and organizational branding and identity. Her scientific activity produced in the last years has been disseminated through several books and book chapters, more than 10 academic journal articles, more than 20 international and national conferences. Her work focuses on discourse analysis, mainly qualitative research on the discursive interaction between media, public opinion and political actors. At the same time, she's been involved in publishing the results on the promotion of cultural heritage and evaluation of mobile applications for cultural tourism in Brasov, Romania, and now she's the main coordinator of an Erasmus project 2023-1-R001-KA220-HED-000156121 entitled “Civil engagement, integration and better management of the national intangible heritage to raise awareness of European common values - EU context, perspectives and active citizenship”.
