Anila Thomas
, who holds a Masters in History and Tourism as well as a Ph.D. in Tourism Management, has made substantial contributions to academic environment through her research and instructional activities. Currently works as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Tourism and Management at Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous in Bangalore (Karnataka), India. Dr. Anila has 25 years’ experience in teaching, doing research, and administration in the fields of history, hospitality, and tourism management. Her research focused on the following topics: Indian History, European History, World History, Hospitality Management, Geographical Resources and Tourism, Culture and Heritage, Rural Tourism, Destination Marketing, Destination Planning and Policy-making, SDGs, AI Applications in Tourism, Women's Contributions to Tourism, and Community Involvement for Sustaining Tourism Resources.
