Andrew Philip Weiss

Andrew Weiss has worked in libraries for more than ten years. He is currently a Digital Services Librarian at California State University, Northridge in Los Angeles, California. His work includes developing the CSUN institutional repository, performing outreach for scholarly communications services, and advocating for open access initiatives. His research examines Massive Digital Libraries (MDLs) such as Google Books, HathiTrust, the Internet Archive, and the DPLA. In addition to various articles and book chapters, he is the author of the book Using Massive Digital Libraries: A LITA Guide (2014). He is currently writing another book on the topic of Big Data and user privacy.
