Andrea R. Milner

Andrea R. Milner is the Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs at Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. Before holding her current position, she was the Dean of Graduate Studies and the Director of the Adrian College Institute for Education. Furthermore, she is a tenured full professor in the Teacher Education Department. Dr. Milner was a 2022-2023 American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow. Her research focuses on investigating innovative strategies, techniques, and methods to facilitate learning environments to ignite motivation and stimulate learning strategy use in a manner that will positively transform students’ experience of education within the classroom and enable them to then transfer that experience to their life out in the real world. She has numerous publications including peer-reviewed journal articles, editorials, book chapters, and curriculum modules. She has presented her research at many local, regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Andrea R. Milner holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Science Education and a minor in Educational Psychology (August 2008), a Master of Education, Elementary & Early Childhood Education (May 2001) as well as a Bachelor of Education, Elementary Education (March 1993) from The University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Milner also holds a current State of Ohio Teaching License.
