Ana Tomé
Ana Tomé
has been a physiotherapist since 1998. She is a lecturer at the School of Health, University of Algarve, and a PhD student in the Clinical Research and Translational Medicine program (2021-present). She holds a master’s degree in Physiotherapy and Public Health (2011) and became a Specialist in Physiotherapy in 2022. A certified educator since 2001, she also completed a postgraduate program in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy (2005). Ana has extensive clinical experience in hospital settings, including intensive care units, cardiology, surgery, pediatric units, and cardiac rehabilitation programs since 1998. She has maintained a private practice since 1998, specializing in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, pediatric care, manual therapy, cranio-temporomandibular pain and dysfunction, and RPG. Additionally, she serves as a clinical educator and learning tutor for physiotherapy students in clinical practice. Her research interests include exercise and well-being, aging and the elderly, active aging, health promotion and education, cranio-cervical and temporomandibular disorders, as well as movement and balance disorders.
