Alice Etim

Dr. Alice S. Etim is Professor of Management Information Systems at Winston-Salem State University. She received her Ph.D. from the iSchool at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. Etim has published extensively in her field of Information Science/Systems and her scholarly works are accessible globally. They include many peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and an edited book titled: Developing Countries and Technology Inclusion in the 21st Century Information Society (2021). Etim’s research interests and published works span information and communication technology (ICT) adoption, diffusion, and impact in business/organizations, education, healthcare, project teams, disadvantaged groups, and women. She has also researched and published extensively on the uses of the technologies for service delivery - mobile money & payment systems, mobile commerce, mobile health & telemedicine, ICT & microfinance, and ICT for sustainable development/poverty reduction. Etim is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of ICT Research in Africa and the Middle East (IJICTRAME).
