Alesia Moldavan is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Science Education at Georgia Southern University. Her research interests include equity and asset-based teaching practices that promote cultural awareness, inclusion, and justice-oriented advocacy. Her work in teacher preparation and in-service professional development leverages culturally responsive pedagogy to cultivate mathematical identities and agency while challenging social injustices.
