Alejandro Galindo Durán

Alejandro Galindo Durán is a PhD from the University of Almeria and architect from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Granada, with a Master's Degree in Teaching Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, as well as a Master's Degree in Local Development, both awarded by the University of Almeria. He has also obtained a PhD in Economics and Development from the University of Almeria, thanks to his study on urban economic development using the GSV time-lapse methodology. In his career, Alejandro has collaborated with renowned architectural firms, where his work has been recognized with international awards. In 2012, he founded his own architecture studio under the firm Galindo Durán Arquitectura. During this time, he has stood out for his application of cutting-edge technologies, such as augmented reality and virtual reality, in the development of innovative architectural projects. He has also shown his social commitment by actively collaborating as a volunteer conducting workshops for children in situations of social exclusion. In the educational field, Alejandro has been teaching at the María Inmaculada Secondary School since 2016, where he has taught various subjects using innovative methodologies, such as gamification and cooperative learning. As well as professor at the University of Almeria since 2015, teaching subjects in official Master's programs and at the University of Seniors. In addition, he has published the results of his research in international impact journals. She has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences, contributed to book chapters and presented communications in didactic congresses. He has also been part of teaching innovation projects with the University of Granada and has participated in the European Researchers' Night in 2021 and 2022, within the European project “Open Researchers 2019/20” and “Open Researchers 2022-23”.
